Please join the Identification Technology Association for lunch on Monday, July 17 at 12 p.m. with guest speakers, Ms. Soraya Correa, Chief Procurement Officer, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Eric Cho, Director, Procurement Innovation Lab, U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The luncheon will take place at the offices of Catalyst Partners, LLC (1250 Connecticut Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20036).
Ms. Correa and Mr. Cho will discuss efforts to streamline and modernize the Department of Homeland Security's procurement practices. With the aim of fostering a culture of innovation, the Chief Procurement Officer has undertaken a number of initiatives, such as the Acquisition Innovations in Motion and the Procurement Innovation Lab, that provide the Department with increased flexibility and a unique test environment for exploring innovative technologies.
Attendees will learn how these new procurement flexibilities are driving innovation and reducing procurement lead times.
